Had it where the entire registration unit casing become warped. Only way to tell was to remove it and lay it flat on a desk. If so replace whole assembly.
Try Switch 153 change to Hex 40,
run Stablisation after and grads
Solids will be so much better
I would personally try changing the colour reproduction back to 8 series:
Switch 153 change to Hex 40,
Run Stablisation after and grads
Found that the solids always look really grainy out of the...
What sort of noise was this coming from pickup holder? Iv got one with a squealing noise lower down in the machine, rear side, inline with bypass tray, and cannot pinpoint where its coming from.
Iv had it a few times where one of the toner hopper motors was making a buzzing/grinding noise, replaced and all was good.

In most case it was the scanner ribbon cable at fault, visible damage.
If you need to check the CIS is working you can swap it with the one in the ADF on the 3350i's, for fault finding purposes.
Short answer is no, but if you post the problems you are having with the finisher then someone can possibly help.
If it still errors after checking the drums and devs then worth check the IQC Sensor shutter is opening fully as they can become warped over time, or if the solenoid arm that operates the shutter...
Exactly what answer I get from our tech rep. Every time I have a problem with a machine they're like 'oh that's strange, never heard of that before'. Come on copytech and find everyone else is having...
Consider swapping machine, those models are a bag of sh**
I'm thinking CPU board, either reseat or replace.
Had some really weird issues replacing to CPU board failures.

yes I agree as we do switch off the life warnings on our machines. Unfortunately engineers don’t bother checking the life counters. So we do occasionally get depleted devs.
thanks iv managed to convert a 8 series black drum to a i series drum successfully.
What would it involve changing the black to colours?
no you don’t have to use that one in particular but you can google different ones or you can use

Hi,
Had 6 of these do the same thing, all on latest FW etc. Did the self diagnostics with no errors, did CPU reset.
After a month of scratching heads we found out (from the customers IT...
Definitely charge related. Dismantle the charge components including both end blocks and clean accordingly. Make sure the metal casing is clean free of toner and dev.
Check and clean both grid and...
Hi Peeps,
Just wanted to know if anyone has tried to replenish the developer on the 8 series or i series machines?
I know on some older models you were able to get hold of bottles of dev, but...
Fuser units are absolutely crap on these models. Had numerous ones fail after little use. Seems like the fuser oil in the sleeve dries out and over time seizes up. Tried dismantling it to see if I...

If it doesn't have any of the existing transport brackets that hold the BP unit in place then your best bet is to handle with care and keep as level as possible. recommend taking out the waste tank...
