Print a report from service mode usually 73 or 77 this shows the life of the last and current use cartridge and usually even shows average coverage %.
Don't forget the yield figures are based on...
There is a Tech Bulletin for this issue

From the scanned document it looks like it is being reduced down the length only and the line is caused by the end of the paper.
I would check the paper size settings as this can happen when A4 and...
Yes sounds like the same symptom. I suspect the extra moisture in the paper at this time of the year is a major contributory factor, hence it only just starting.
I just found an old Mono Manual on...
Have seen this sort of thing before on Kyocera black and white machines.
It mainly shows on larger paper sizes and was due to the change in speed from transfer to fuser.
On the Mono machines you...
No you have to remove the motor and the plate you need to adjust up or down is behind that, just look at the manual the whole procedure is there including the service modes to run to check the...
If you look in the service manual there is an adjustment procedure for the plate behind the belt drive motor. From memory I think they have got the adjustment directions the wrong way round. If it...
Have you split the unit and looked at the dev roller ?
We are getting this with the new style units and have to just add a small amount of developer to them all !!
Have seen a few of these problems, it appears to be a lack of developer material in the new units. If you top it up slightly and reset the developer they appear to run O.K
Remove upper exit section/turnover unit.
You will probably find the switch actuator on top of this unit is displaced
Seen the same issue on another Brother model and it was always caused by the free wheeling exit roller above the fuser.
You had to remove all the units and the fuser and then stand the machine up on...
Did you fit an OEM HP fuser or was it a reman fuser, the phrase "return fuser" leads me to think the latter. This may be the problem
Print out the parts life list page and you should see that it has reset itself.
You can only order complete belt assembly but I doubt it is that that is causing the problem, I have had these belts do 3-4 times their life and still not cause a problem
Remove the fuser and the plates below, You will find a PCB with a shutter mounted on it which is operated by a solenoid.
The foam noise dampener on the solenoid breaks down and becomes sticky and...
If you have any old 50 series or 52 series drum units which were shorter life expectancy, some of them have the same style cleaner roller.
You can harvest these rollers and swap them into the longer...
Sorry didn't ever get it fixed
I believe there is a firmware upgrade to cure a problem with too much cyan.
A previous firmware upgrade caused the issue and it was then upgraded again to cure the issue
This was on Develop but I...
I'd be looking at the transfer belt and or the alignment sensor shutter although that normally throws an error so may be just some dirt on the sensor. Sensor is usually found on the board beneath the...
If you are unable to get one, just fold a piece of paper and place it to block the photo-interupter.
This will make it think paper is present.
All that happens is you get a jam when the tray runs...
I've got a whole scrap machine badged as Olivetti d-copia 16 but am in the U.K
If it is set to fax only then it will answer calls anyway, try changing this as I have known it to cause all kind of different strange issues here in the U.K
Out of interest is their broadband on...
1/ Did you connect the Brother fax cable ? or just plug the old Samsung cable into the Brother as that was easier ?
If so not all fax cables are wired the same and that could be the problem...
Most brother toners have a one time reset gear on the side of the cartridge. This only works on first rotation after installation then falls out of mesh and will not reset after that unless you take...
