    Re: PC-920

New info: Black pages with old toner cart & new one. Was working fine then went to completely black. Hearing that can rule out drum cleaning blade. I've always been able to see some image with blade...

Ha-ha. My uncle still has one of these. It never had any problems until now (25 yrs!). If something simple will fix, if not will get him a small machine from wholesaler.

    Been many years since I...

[Dead] Re: C554e pillars of death

Damn you have done everything possible. Did you use new ssd & MFP board or used from another machine?

Have you tried starting machine with the reset firmware or just the regular f/w?

Re: DF704 misfeed unless in Service Mode

Copying from doc feeder is always slower than scanning and normal.

i would check for dirty sensors or out of place actuator, etc

[Dead] Re: C554e pillars of death

Did you try different RAM memory sticks?

This has worked for me several times: Try turning on "main switch" with USB service port open and NO thumb drive inserted. Tape the small metal cover so it...

Don't know this model but one of my customers asked me to look at it. You know the same old story you are just walking out the door after servicing the copier and a cute secretary asks if you could...

    Re: 4e woes

Leave service port cover open with no USB drive in it. Tape open. Turn machine on and wait awhile (up to 10 mins), I've been lucky a few times with machines boot up that way so I could get into...

Re: Bizhub 364e - clicking/knocking noise at idle

Many of the posts are mine trying to convince someone how to save $500 for a new fuser. I've done everything I can except put the bearings in myself. Not sure how I ended up wasting this much time on...

    Re: BizHub 363 C-C164 error

Don't think it takes much work or money to keep a website running. It basically runs itself. With that said I still make a contribution every year. Could look at it that I help way more then I ask...

    Re: BizHub 363 C-C164 error

Not sure why some techs here keep telling people to contribute to this website. Or dangle firmware in front of them to get them to contribute. I use to do this same thing but after several times...

Re: Bizhub 364e - clicking/knocking noise at idle

It never fails! One day after posting about the infamous fuser noise at idle I got 2 service calls for same thing, one C224e, C654e. Next day a C754e. On big machines, one had bushing wore on brush...

    Re: c200 c353

No. I tried years ago and remember the C200 were different and wouldn't work. You can use the C203 & C253 print head in the C353 even though different part #'s. I've done this and can confirm it...

Re: Bizhub 364e - clicking/knocking noise at idle

I meant $20 shipped. Think Copylite price is $15.95 for 2 bearings + shipping should be around $20.

Re: Bizhub 364e - clicking/knocking noise at idle

I think you are making a big deal out of something really simple. This bearing is used on many different models. Like I posted there are several of these bearings used in the FS-534 finishers and...

Re: Bizhub 364e - clicking/knocking noise at idle

Good points and make sense. The newer models including the model in this post sleep mode max is 60 mins. Think last 240 min model was the C220 series.

Problem is there were issues with the "4"...

Even if machine has error code you can wait awhile and eventually enter service mode. Compare setting between the two machines. Also can initialize the fax unit in service mode.

Re: Bizhub 364e - clicking/knocking noise at idle

Yes they are the correct bearings. Not sure why copylite doesn't show the same parts for the B&W models. They are same "exact" fusers!

Re: Bizhub 364e - clicking/knocking noise at idle

Again all the parts to rebuild fuser are on Copylite website. Just use the "C"364 fuser parts.

With under 300k you can get by with the bearings. Like I posted previously you do not need to...

Re: Bizhub 364e - clicking/knocking noise at idle

The 364e doesn't use an oil roller. The faster machines, 554/654/754 all use the oil / cleaning roller setup. You are correct when these fusers make noise it is always the oil / cleaning roller...

Re: Bizhub 364e - clicking/knocking noise at idle

I know that noise all to well. This is the definite fix: Replace the small bearings in fuser. The one that will make noise is the belt pressure roller. very easy take side covers off and can replace...

Re: Dinosour BH-C-353 wants to scan to e-mail.

Last one my IT guy did he had to use an old computer (win XP or 7) to get it to work.

There are some other older models only option was FTP.

    Hi,

I received the following email and attachment from a customer of mine.

Any ideas what would cause this? I've never seen it on the 4 or 8 series.

Thanks in advance for any help
