Getting a 55-1003 Error after trying to calibrate the lamp, new module installed and still getting this.

I had a costomer once who printer/copier wounted come on no matter what, they locked the network option out so nobody could hook up a lan to it. i fought for a bit, then decided to cold hard reset...

its possible wont hurt to try another one, once you made one, always good to make a backup and put inside the machine with a note saying its a backup drive. that way dont have to find all the files...

wow i thought they used the 160gb one of toshiba. or bigger. but not larger than 320gb. so try a larger size but no bigger than 320gb. and keep it under 7200rpm, use only the 5400rpm ones.

use ftp client with anonymous login, ive downloaded the whole site. took about 3 days. so i got it archive

what type of hdd are you installing??? they have to be a certain size, and speed from what i recall.

I had changed the HDD, possible it failed, did work for a year so maybe it was a bad hdd.

Turning it on, the power light comes on, then the Energy saver light comes and start pulsating, the copier does it dance, but nothing on the screen.
unplugged the copier for 5 minutes, same results...

i have cloned a working drive just make sure it the same size i have used compact flashed card to duplicated a regular hdd, i use reflect maricum. With some wierd results you might want to try...

you need to use an ftp client with resume, the file is fine do not use the browser it doesnt resume sometimes.

i would do a firmware update on the printer seems like a protocol issue, try accessing the printer thru a browser, or maybe just use a laserjet iii driver to see if that works.

or do a cold reset,...
