Problem was the logic board.
I've ran into the block problem several times. Super glued them and a layer of epoxy after. Works great. Always the black for me. Closer proximity to the fuser, Heat stress I guess. Not my problem
I have an intact 5560 trade in. I'm going to take the process unit, transfer belt unit, Logic board and laser unit with me. I'll let you know what I find. Thanks for your help.
Drums and developer rotating. Didn't check if transfer was rotating, my bad. Laser shutter worked in test mode. All that aside, I'm wondering why can't I get in to 04 mode and why I have a completed...
Nothing on the belt
None, BC. Didn't pull belt until I tried to enter 04 mode per troubleshooting steps. Don't understand why it wouldn't go in to 04 mode, yet ran a successful 05-2742.
Checked 08-2528 to 2531. All zeros. Checked 05-2731 all below 628. Set 08-2486 and 2561 to zero. Go in to 04 to print test pattern and it throws CE40. Checked developer and transfer belt springs....
Most of the time I've had that code on one of those, it's been from the transfer belt cleaner disengaging.
Had a chewed up ribbon cable. Replaced it and got the code. Replaced stacker motor home position sensor. Stacker motor drives past home position. I'm not getting 5 volts cn8 pin 5. I think it's the...
Not to beat a dead horse BC, but I plugged the number in my search on my manual. It appears you have to buy the plate it's glued on. Luckily Toshiba has one in stock. Just one.
Thanks. I'll check it out. Looking at it right now on FYI. Still don't understand why I couldn't find it in the tech to go parts manual
Thanks a lot blackcat. Where did you get that image? My parts manual is from FYI, looks nothing like that.
Been through the parts manual four times and can't find the ribbon cable that connects the SDL and main PCB's. If someone could give me the page and item number, I'd appreciate it.
It's a piece of cake. After you've stripped it to the frame and replaced everything, I'll let you know.
It will do this at idle. It's like the stepper motors are get a forward and reverse signal at the same time. When going to make a copy through the finisher, the entrance motor just starts chattering....
I have this finisher on a 7506AC. When the covers are closed, the entrance motor, exit motor and transport motors are locked up.
circuit boards, drive units, basically everything.
I have three of them in the field. Two of them have blown the duplex open/close sensor. Other than that, they've performed flawlessly.
Went to change K developer. Went to 05-2404 and hit start. Copier showed 2424 and went in to an idle mode like it was calibrating. Tried 05-2400, 2401, 2402, 2403. Same thing. Had to manually load...
RADF height adjustment. Had the same problem on a 4540
I have two brand new fuser units in the box. Make me an offer.
Sorry Blackcat. Since this thread was directed at you, I should have realized you'd want more information than that.
The whole story from the beginning. Customer was getting feathering in their...
You're right. Tried new post from my cell phone and screwed it up. We determined it was the pre printed stock. Brought stock back and it did the same thing on our office machine which is an identical...
What did I miss? The machine is telling me there is a problem with the developer. Multiple developers and units. I may have double posted this. You're the last person I want to get on the wrong side...
Failing cyan developer set up. Tried multiple developer units. Swapped EPU pcb with the last one. No help.
