  1. Re: Setting for counting Duplex and legal copies as 2 clicks

I believe it is in SSP. After accessing the sp mode, hold down the "#" sign and select system tab.

Why don't you just replace the non contact sensors?

Re: Scan via USB to PDF

No. Ricoh MFP's can scan to PDF's also over a network.

I don't have any of this model, but is it possible the cap from the old toner bottle is stuck in the toner supply unit?

Ok, if you put it together, that means you had things disassembled. If it was imaging before you did that, you need to backtrack everything that you did and check for self-made problems like unseated...

Re: Ricoh lube bar general question

Yep. It rides directly on top of the brush, and if you let it wear to nothing drum failure follows shortly after.

    MP 7001 slow print answer

First, if the title of your thread ends in the word "print" nobody will be able to respond to the thread. As far as the problem do not use any print driver but the PCL6 (not the universal). WSD and...

    Re: sc 544-002 mpc4503

THAT was a big mistake, and certainly not the way to clear a fusing code. The more I think about it, there is a strong possibility you just bricked the controller.

Foghat was the first live band I ever saw around 1974 at the Muncie, Indiana Water Bowl (a gravel pit converted to a swimming hole). I remember that I liked the show. They were one of the bands of...
  12. Re: Those $#%@#% foam rollers on ricoh finishers.

Yes. I have used the rubber from Katun feed/pickup roller kits cut thin and then superglued onto the foam roller hub. They have to be thin or the friction from rubbing on the metal plate below it...

Re: c3002 "add toner" new developerbox

So the machine is now fixed? And the problem was the toner supply tube not secured to the pump? And it took 3 pages of advice and 2 weeks to figure that one out? Attention to detail, Dude.

This may be an issue. I have replaced HDD's with a slightly larger one with no issues, but not the other way around. The machine may require at least a 80gb HDD volume to function correctly. Just a...
  15. Re: Error code all ricoh MP C3002/5502/3003/3503/

That's the one I've been using for years. A far cry from the days of film and portable microfiche readers (which I never could really see anyhow).

    Re: Drum PCDU UNITS

The only thing I have found out about the '03 series in this regard is that the c6004 pcu (not the development unit) can be used in a c4503 with no mods. Probably no help, but good to know.

Re: c3002 "add toner" new developerbox

Done this a hundred times. Just slide the metal plate back on the pump and vacuum it out, it takes 10 seconds. Now you have a pump ready to go. Be sure and vacuum/replace the supply hose.

I have used "thick" setting a few times to solve imaging issues while using paper that was not in the "thick" category because of it's lighter weight. Have you tried it to see if it would work?
