[Electrical] Re: Hot o/p paper C3851 konica

Those small kon/min run very hot. The 3100P get so hot the fuser cover turns brown and plastic gets nice and crispy.

A few customers have complained and was thinking about turning down the temp or...

    [CQ] Re: Chinese parts!!

I've actually had better results, lasting longer, etc with Chinese aftermarket parts. Most probably come from same factories in China. All the OEM's have China, etc make their parts. So 99% of OEM &...

[Jamming] Re: c458 jamming at reg rollers.

Is it jamming from all trays? did you test anything in service mode, switches, etc.

I don't think the oil can has anything to do with the jamming. You have 2 things going on.

[Misc] Re: e series dumping developer

Has always been the dev dumps because of over life drums for me. Never had to replace HV wires, etc.

Replacing the drum, developer unit and "any" other over life consumables fixed it for me.

    Re: Harmless whining.

I guess it's a lot different if only one person is working on the machine and easy for me being self employed now. Like I mentioned in previous post I don't consider it cutting corners if someone...

    Re: Harmless whining.

Agree that most consumables reset themselves and you can easily check in counters. As for logging on a piece of paper, it has its benefits but I think it is a thing of the past. Besides the customer...
  8. Re: Bizhub C220 paralell lines at soft color prints. Transfer belt? + Photos

Those lines aren't from trans belt. I've seen belts a lot worse than that not showing lines! Besides, the real clue here is lines only appear to be on Cyan, if belt was bad lines would be on all...

    Re: Harmless whining.

What! Tech didn't log the service call. I'm guilty as charged. As easy as it is to do when I worked for companies I always forgot to log the service call. It's does make it easier for any tech...

    Re: Konica Minolta fuser NTC

Thermistors are rated different oHms so have to be careful. Only way I would attempt this is within same series / design, Like switching thermistors between a biz 223 and biz 250, etc.

    Re: Faxes and hippa

When I say faxing a document is most secure that is using a conventional fax machine, not electronic over internet. Secure meaning if you pick up a handset on that fax line you hear that weird noise...

    Re: Faxes and hippa

Also doubt it will change. Reason doctors, etc use fax is it's the most secure way to send a document. You will never hear of a fax getting hacked!

Think I saw some mention of color in this thread, I was talking about the old B&W model. If this is a color model disregard my earlier post

[Misc] Re: IR-2020 Faint line of output across page

If what Phil posted checks out then next step is dump the old toner in Dev unit (mono componet, no developer used in this model)
Then scrub mag roller with scotchbrite pad. Put NEW toner in...

[Electrical] Re: Bizhub 454e not staying powered on?

Ok, I'll come clean. In a few desperate times I've twisted the prongs around on a 20 amp plug to fit into a 15 amp outlet. The outlets are both 120V so not really a problem, especially that the 454e...

FYI (For Your Information) Kon/Min does not sell fuser parts for most models. There are some...

I have rebuilt several successfully. There are no instructions but try and find the instructions for the C451, 552, etc. They are very similar.

As last resort use the instructions for a C253,...

I know with the "4" series we turned off the sleep mode in every one because of trouble waking up. Service mode, sleep mode, "permit", than enter admin mode, energy save settings, sleep mode off.
