Re: Ricoh Engineer required in South of England

Plus mileage goes down to 25p after 10k miles here so you would do good for a little while then suddenly money would go downhill. Plus thanks to being a solo engineer for 2 months earlier this year...

    Re: MP C4502 , error sc995-01

Usually an engineer would post -
What may have happened to the machine
    The SC code or fault
What they have done to try and resolve it (important)
Then they post in here for ideas
    Your post would...

    Re: MP C401SR Sc502-00

As it is PB1000 (only 1 tray) is it just sat on a cabinet with only 2 trays total? Try cheating it if you can without putting the tray in and see if the lift motor moves or not. If not then probably...

    Re: MP C305's replacement recomendations?

Everyone loved them when they first came out, small multi function colour machine. Then like every model a year later you see all the flaws... fuser gears turning to dust after 25k, toner board not...

    Re: New Model IM

This is weird just quoting myself but just so it shows a bit of context. Went to this call this morning, typical they were actually having a meeting around the copier so cheating the door and using...
  7. Re: Auto Specify Folder Destination (MP 301SPF)

I could be wrong here but I'm pretty sure that can't be done. After 60 seconds it will auto reset and 'unselect' her scan destination anyway. A time which you could adjust but I think it will still...

    Re: Wiping Hard Drives

Nothing I am aware of. No SD cards in machine, it had fax but that board was removed the whole time during all of this. Now as it won't boot up I can't be 100% sure as I can't check but top 90's

Ok so finally got the laptop to see it, only works with usb 2.0 now which is annoying but oh well. Sorted the HDD out in Disk management after checking it over with Mini tool partition wizard first....

    Re: Wiping Hard Drives

I'm not sure why they wanted it, I think it was because they had just been bought out so the customer turned huge right near the end of contract so we were fighting to keep them against a canon...

    Re: Wiping Hard Drives

Cheers both, I will give these a go next week when I get the time. I'm still slightly concerned how the copier wouldn't load up past sc 670 when the HDD wasn't even plugged in though, must have...

    Wiping Hard Drives

    Hi all,
A customer of mine recently asked for me to totally wipe everything from their hard drives, not just formatting. I downloaded the software 'Eraser' and used an adapter to hook the HDD to my...

    Re: New Model IM

This could just be a one-off but one of my engineers attended a call (miles away) for an IMC 3500A that is squeeking. He said it was only when duplexing must most of their prints are defaulted to...

    Re: MPC3003 Light copies

Even though I do love the 03 range once you get used to the little quirks of greasing the scanner rails and the exit rollers before putting them out etc
But they definitely don't have as good black...

Just so I know, when you replaced them you set new unit in Process part of Service mode? then turned machine off and on, then did the rest etc

Re: Dirty environment causing DF problems

Lol come on everyone knows only engineers think of the long run, sales only see 'the sale' and how much money it bags on the day. I can't remember how many times I have said 'dont sell one of those...

Re: Dirty environment causing DF problems

I have seen there is a 'Stackability' mode that you can change which lowers the speed it pulls through paper to help stack properly upon exit (I think that is the purpose of it)
