So we're both in the peanut gallery. Believe or not my aim was clarity not sarcasm.

    Re: Tech On-Site Business Model

Thanks BC. I know there are pitfalls to the idea. But I can't help but think there's a distinct bidding advantage to telling the customer (college, hospital, fortune 500 HQ) we will have a guy on...

    Tech On-Site Business Model

An idea occurred to me. Would it be feasible to have a business model catered only to campuses or very large companies in which you can have a full time tech on site?

    Any thoughts or experience...

Could this be a simple scanner lock engaged? Or filty optics/white reference?
  6. Re: ecosys m3550 bypass lift plate assembly part number

You will need to call Dallas. That is there parts department. Normal tech hotline will not assist with part numbers. Just make sure you have the latest manual revision when calling. 1-866-596-2372
  7. Re: Feasibility of old Analog Copiers for non-profits, clubs, churches, low/no budget

My company has some pretty old crap but nothing analog. I see it usually in smaller ma and pop places that are riding out till death or retirement. They will not upgrade. And the last thing they want...
  8. Re: TaskAlfa 5550ci drum blade part number question.

There's no way to tell unless someone has actually tried it because the 5550ci doesn't have a P/N.

But my 2 cents is these drums are rock solid. I have machines running for years on the original. ...
  9. Re: Taskalfa 6002i check toner container error

1)make sure all doors are closed.
    2) the machine may be simultaneously prompting you to take empty black and install it as the WTB. I came across that once

Re: Send it Back??? Or pray for the best?

I would send it back for all the reasons you state plus so Ricoh corrects the issue. Same thing happened on Sharps last year. Enough headache with returns and they starting installing caps on the dev...

Is there toner build up on the fuser guides? If so replace segmented transport roller above fuser. There was a bulletin on this.

    Copystar (Kyocera)
    https://copystar.com/en/about-us/dealers.html

As far as the wholesalers go, there may be a mark-up but I think they'll stay off your back about quotas and such.

    Re: I Love Kyocera

What other brand has 1 or 2 screws to take off back cover?

They may be behind but my point was they're always moving in the right direction. IMHO.

Sharp makes advances but then steps backwards...

Drum (process unit) stores the waste toner. I've never tried emptying.

    I Love Kyocera

Finally got to work on a 7052ci. Kyocera seems to be the only brand that listens to techs and improves ease of work accordingly. The "waste system" in front of the drum now slides out on rails and...

You should've installed a thin glass with a small ribbon cable on the right hand side. I have accidentally installed these upside down resulting in total loss of touch response.

    [CQ] Re: 7002i DV streaking

Yea looks like a piece of label stuck in transfer belt. Although I can't account for 225k clean pages. But I know DV contentment usually results in a void not a streak.

[Misc] Re: Kyocera KM-3040 ADF Feed Motor Issues

Since you don't think like a copier tech (no offense it's not that glamorous) I'm not yet convinced.

Do you mean 15 or so ORIGINALS in the document feeder? Or a few originals and 15 or so PRINTED...
