    Re: FN18 saddle stitch jamming

    That is very interesting.

Have you tried varying sizes of booklets, example, a 6 sheet booklet compared to a 15 sheet booklet set?
Have you tried just half-fold mode as a copy for more than 12...

    Re: FN18 saddle stitch jamming

Still must have the bottom rail fitted. Look at the installation manual. Its used for earthing & straight positioning, despite the fact that model finisher does not slide away from the main unit.

    Re: FN18 saddle stitch jamming

I believe the problem could be one of these.
    1. The Main Finisher Controller PCB. You replaced the Saddle Controller PCB which is unrelated and does not communicate with the transport unit MXRB20 or...
  4. Re: Sharp MX- 3100 prints and copies only Yellow

Yes, Paul is right, however the shutter units are also the rails for the drum and dev units, so you won't be able to simply remove everything. You will need to either remove the moving shutter itself...
  5. Re: Sharp MX- 3100 prints and copies only Yellow

I have to agree with the above guys. Sounds alot like the shutters are not opening fully. As yellow is closest to the solenoid lever, it will open with the greatest force.
Take all drums & devs out....

    Re: MXC304 DSPF scan problem

    Now this makes sense.
Checking the manual, the DSPF contains a CIS Scanner, while the main scanner contains a CCD Unit. Two totally different units for scanning, two totally different results.
    The...
  7. Re: ARM451U does not recognize usb port

I highly doubt the problem is the MFP.
You can confirm this by connecting the MFP to another computer or laptop by the same USB cable. It should detect OK.
The ARM451U definitely has Win10 drivers....

    Re: MXC304 DSPF scan problem

    I agree.
Change the auto exposure settings or color mode to 'Full Color' instead of Auto. This will help.

However, have you checked this is not a DSPF Calibration problem? Have you scanned a...
  9. Re: MX-C300W scan to mail - character set

I would 100% get that Firmware updated!
The version you have is 10 releases behind the current version. There are numerous mentions of special character fixes and language corrections within updated...

[Misc] Re: MX-2651 RSPF Scanning Issue

I would suggest checking the installation position of the document feeder, hinges and their frames.
If you always have good copies off the glass, and the quality issue is only through the document...

    Re: Multiple pages into individual

Yes, the MX2310U has this setting.
Look under File Format tab, you should see the option for Specified Pages Per File. Its a box which can be ticked.
If you enter the number 5 for example, and you...

    Re: Multiple pages into individual

What you want to achieve is dependent on the model.
For example, on the last 3 generations of devices, you can simply tick the box for 'Specified Pages per file' within the File Format tab. With...

[Misc] Re: MX-3570 Printing Bad Image

    Hi David,

3 weeks ago we mentioned that the problem would not be the LSU if the 64-01 tests were OK.
I mentioned that 64-05 tests were required to confirm the print controller (MFP Board) was...

    Re: MX-M550 jamming issues

I 100% agree with the suggestion of replacing the Tandem PF Unit.
You've mentioned the sheet feeds only slightly out of the tray. Sounds exactly like a clutch, shaft, broken pin, fallen e-ring or...
  18. Re: fn-18 intermittently stops in saddle stitch

    Different machine unfortunately.
You're mentioning one of the saddle transport sensors on the MXFN22, which is a completely different finisher to the MXFN18. That sensor only exists in the MXFN22.
  19. Re: fn-18 intermittently stops in saddle stitch

I 100% agree with the above.
A level machine and correct stock make heaps of difference.

    What is the Finisher Firmware?

    Re: MX-3560N with L4-02

It can still be a feed motor problem.
Previous models that have had this code have had the feed motor upgraded.
Looking at the Parts Guide, there are a few part upgrades for the N series within the...

[Misc] Re: MX-3570 Printing Bad Image

    Exactly Michael!

64-01 tests are on the LSU controller, so if these appear OK, your LSU is going to be OK.
You need to test 64-05 which is the PCL test prints from the print controller, as you...
  22. Re: L4-70 Toner Motor Lock Trouble MX-M266N

The Toner Motor manufactured prior to October 2016 was known to blow a fuse on the MCU PWB, and subsequently shown L4-70.
The new toner motor part number is DUNT-1220RS56 (was DUNT-1220RS52).

Re: Does a PCL5 Driver exsist?

Activate HP compatibility mode with sim 55-03 sw 3, bit 7. Change it to 1.
Keep using the PCL6 driver. Should make older PCL5 applications work perfectly fine. You may need to use the universal...

    Re: Sharp MX2614
