    Re: Next generation MP 301

Typically, these entry-level models struggle with enabling solutions, such as GlobalScan and the like.

They (meaning any of the “A4” or “tabletop” machines) just don’t seem to have enough oomph to...

Re: Slnx v3 ,scan to folder issue,

Could you send me some screenshots of the profile?

    PM me if you prefer.
  3. Re: printer preferences from old machine to new machine

Have you tried a complete uninstall of the print driver and its port, then reinstalling the driver and recreating the port (with the same address)?

    I don’t mean a simple “right-click and delete”,...

Re: Slnx v3 ,scan to folder issue,

Just for laughs, set up a hot folder using the same workflow as the one with the issue.

The flow will be the same, except that the MFPs and their connections will be bypassed. The flow would come...

Re: Slnx v3 ,scan to folder issue,

I once had a customer with SLNX 2.3 (I think) who had the same slowness issue, and they were using a NAS. Onboard scanning was cool.

Turned out to be that the NAS had some problems with SMB1...

Re: Slnx v3 ,scan to folder issue,

Just thought of this...What version of the client is running on the MFPs?

A mismatch will cause all kinds of issues.

Re: Slnx v3 ,scan to folder issue,

    Not that I'm aware of.

I don't see a patch for that version (other than upgrading to 3.4.1)

Is all the firmware including the SOP panel and java (where applicable) up to the required versions?...

Re: Slnx v3 ,scan to folder issue,

Which version of SLNX 3 are you running?

There have been several updates for it.

Re: Scan BarCodes on a copier

I somehow don’t think that will be an issue in a freight forwarding environment. ;)
  10. Re: printer preferences from old machine to new machine

You can also try setting the new machine as the default printer, and then open and re-save the Word doc.

That’s a really old trick, but it may still work.

Re: Scan BarCodes on a copier

It would be right at home on a VM, as there is no hardware required.

It may be more than you’re looking to spend, but AutoStore has so many other talents that you will very quickly find tons of...

Re: Scan BarCodes on a copier

For such a small installation, a workstation will work fine. Note that “home” versions of Windows will not work; it won’t even install if the wrong version is detected. Windows 8.1 or 10 would be...

Kofax (formerly Nuance) AutoStore can do that easily, and much more.

    Re: Ricoh ISIS scanner drivers

Even if you did find an ISIS driver that connected (which is anything but likely), it would absolutely NOT be supported.

Most MFP manufacturers don't offer ISIS support. It's all TWAIN.

[Misc] Re: Ricoh Model Name Guide

I can say that the “GW” in “GW” and “GW+” controllers stands for “Grand Works”.

No idea what it actually designated, though.

Re: change series to Ricoh MP 4055

Another one of those mindless threads where someone makes some nonsensical statement, and everyone else chimes in.

All while there is no response from the trolling OP.

[Misc] Re: canon scan drivers to pdf

Canon Network ScanGear. You have to download it from the Canon site.

Once installed (and configured) it will behave as any other TWAIN device.

You can't use any third party/generic TWAIN...
