Yes leave them as the factory default.
If a hacker has managed to gain access to the customers network they wont be interested in the copier, more their server.

Same process as previous models, update from service mode.
Or if you have a down HDD use the SST to create a boot USB.

Have you set it to plain 80gsm ?
You can’t print that pattern on A3 has to be A4 plain.
Yes we read your post re scan to email but offered SMB & FTP as an alternative solutions.
So, how do you wish to set up scan to email, what SMTP provider to you wish to use?
Yes you can scan to Win 10 using SMB v1.0 however you would need to enable this as it was a security risk & disabled with a recent Windows update.
Happy to help.

You will be limited on how you can scan to email on this old model due to it not supporting SSL & TLS etc.
Your best option would be scan to folder & you would need to use an old PC with Win 7 etc.
Happy to help with the firmware, service & parts manuals should you wish to update.

No worries.
I guess if he can't log in with to the regular SP he always has the factory SP mode to use.
Out of interest how did you preform this action?
Thats exactly what I said immediately above your comment!
Yes it can be done, they told us on the course for this model (off the record!)
How did you perform a 'factory reset' if you can't enter SP mode?
As others have said what you had done is a temporary fix.
The line is caused by a worn cleaning blade. vacuuming out the unit helps but once they start to fail nothing you can do about it except...
I believe you are correct. The storage boards have not 'failed' simply the firmware is corrupt.
Did the update complete or still stick at 25% ?
As a temp fix simply use IrfanView to print jpeg files
Windows will automatically update & resolve the issue in the coming days so you can revert to your default image viewer if required.
...
The diagnostic tool passes because there are no hardware issues, only software (firmware) Did you try the latest GC2-G4 ?

If the client has a central printer server on both networks install the copier on this server & share to users as required.
Thanks mikadonovan, yes we'd be happy to help.
As stated below SMB 2/3 is supported but you may need to update the firmware.
+1 Yeah simple to fit & they come with installation instructions in the box.
