Re: Canon class action lawsuit? LOL.. good luck

Years back, Canon sold their lower end fax machines as “Faxphone” devices, along with some other even lower end models that were Faxphone only.

The common ones were identical, other than color.

Re: can u help me fiery e-42 of ricoh 901

As long as the seller on eBay is reputable, I think I'd go that route.

A lot less hassle, and even though I don't know what Ricoh would charge, it's most likely a MUCH higher price than eBay.

There’s gotta be a snappy smart-ass comeback in there, somewhere.

I just haven’t found it yet.

Re: Why do sales guys speak so loud?

Several years back my office moved into a new location, with the totally open floor plan (at a tiny fraction of the previous rent, of course).

It was nice when sales reps were on the road, but you...

    Very nice!

Adequate network drops for all, I hope?
  7. Re: Ricoh Firmware Update Tool!! Oh wait, it doesn't work.

Stay away from the 512mb cards; they may be too small if you run any package firmware.

Just today I downloaded the “all” firmware package for the IM C300. The zip file is 644mb; I’ve not yet...
  8. Re: A Samsung, a Kyocera, and a HP copier all walk into a bar...

Anybody remember the old Canon NP120/125/200 toner?

It was a foil bag, with the lower half glued into a box. The customer had to use scissors to cut the bag, then pour the toner into a slot.

Re: Read HDD from MPC 3504

Despite honorable intentions, being able to easily recover data (yes, even address books) goes 100% against most of the security related issues we face.

    Re: B287 scanning barcodes smb/Email

While the sample is far from perfect, it's not all that bad.

I made a screenshot of it, and dropped it into a free online barcode reader. No issues, including the decimal point.

    You may want to...

Re: The cold hard truth about outside sales

    Repower/reboot the switch for starters.

I agree that a single port or ports can go bad with no warning…it’s a common problem.

    Re: ricoh mp6503.printing problem.

Oddly enough, there is such a thing a printing with white toner on some high-end Ricoh machines, but not this one.

Believe it or not, those same machines can also print with clear toner.

Posted a non-sensical request on CTN, not much else.

Check out all the red cards…do you really expect a logical response?
  18. [Misc] Re: Best way to add a second Jet Direct to an HP M608 and M611 Models

Over the years, I’ve had that a few times.

Two very separate networks that were to never touch each other.

Not quite an ideal solution, though, as I would think the networked connection would...
  19. [Misc] Re: Best way to add a second Jet Direct to an HP M608 and M611 Models

    Seriously?

HP literally invented the external JetDirect…they even coined the name.

You don’t even need the HP brand as there are tons to choose from.

Years ago, they had a parallel port...
  20. Re: RICOH Firmware Update Tool allows users to install firmware updates themselves.

  22. Re: RICOH Firmware Update Tool allows users to install firmware updates themselves.

I have 2 large customers which I administer Streamline (SLNX v3) for.

While we use the device management function (formerly DMNX) to push firmware to the machines, we thoroughly test new versions...

  24. Statement size paper on IM C4500 and MP C4504

    Silly question, perhaps.

A customer is printing 5.5” x 8.5” from Tray 2 on both these models, and is getting various paper size/type errors.

    The machines all have finishers.

    The default...

    Re: NAS server as printerserver

That article only mentions USB connected printers.

I highly doubt it would work with network connected ones.
