    Re: Standby noise Bizhub 227

I am a former KM tech but I remember a "bug zapper" electronic sound that was the result of the power supply. Although, it could be considered unproblematic.
  2. Re: FS-C8020 F24C fault > Firmware update source?

Delete the print job from the source computer or server. Avoid printing from internet.

    Or

Some f-codes are corrupt fax data. Get into simulations and clear fax memory.

Re: bizhub 808, misfeeds only dark originals

I have seen pre-printed paper (church bulletin) with lots of heavy fill jam in a bridge unit once. I chocked it up to the rollers not gripping. But your theory may have been true culprit.
  5. Re: Watching "Tech" video on Youtube FSC Drum Problem... Grease transferred to OP

WTF he didn't even fix it. At the end it's still not cleaning.
  6. Re: Kyocera 3050ci and 3551ci Magenta problems

Unfortunately you can't get help here with compatible toner. It's not your fault but it's too big a red flag for us to waste time on.

Re: 4052ci Strange inner finisher issue.

The arms (as they were visible) seemed OK but they didn't move smoothly. I took off tray, front and side covers to find the whole actuator ass'y was off on the rear side. Fixed and the "paper full"...

    Re: Moderator desperately needed!

We don't need a freaking moderator. We're all demographically the same middle-age, mature, American guys. We can handle ourselves.

Like everyone else says ignore the bullshit. If we get spammed...

[Error Code] Re: 5003i f010 code

Outstanding help. This is what makes the site great.

Tech support will run you in circles (maybe they should make it easier to close your tickets! get rid of I.E only portal!!!)

    Re: kyocera 5501i technician questions

Maybe you're just curious and I respect that, but I mean the difference in speed doesn't matter. Both are plenty fast and you got it up and running. Cheers.

Re: 4052ci Strange inner finisher issue.

Well, lol, that extender was installed. But that didn't fix it. It was the paper pressure actuator being out of place. It those 5 or 6 arms that fall fowards onto the paper on the exit tray. I guess...

Burned me too, my friend. But in the end they all get fixed.
  16. [Error Code] Re: Kyocera FS-2026MFP "Toner Cartridge Improperly Installed"

My favorite part is not being able to test your work until you spend 90 minutes reinstalling everything.

Re: ECOSYS M2040dn - knocking noise

It's the fuser. The noise echoes throughout the machine. I thought it was paper lift, then drum/dev. First time I saw it I turned the fuser by hand and it seeemed fine and after re-installing it...

Re: Sharp MX B402 /PRIMARY TRANSFER UNIT

Well, sure if you're belt is bad I'd advise to just get a new one.

But I recall something regarding this model and blank copies. The laser shutter not being engaged. Because even with a bad belt...

    Re: 2640dw crooked skewed scans

You're a better man than me. If the manual doesn't offer skew adjustment I tell the customer (in so many words) you get what you pay for. This is a desktop MFP, nothing I can do.

Re: Sharp MX B402 /PRIMARY TRANSFER UNIT

Damn, this will drive crazy. I think it has something to do with the waste bottle engaging a doohickey. Maybe even in a bulletin. I'll check.
  23. Re: M3540idn part identification (tray size sensor)

I dunno, maybe that's just the front door switch. Your best bet is to get a hold of the Dallas Parts Department.
  24. Re: M3540idn part identification (tray size sensor)

My FS2100/4200 manual has 7SP03072001+H01 as the likely canidate.

    Re: Kyocera Furloughs

Kyocera has very few branches or direct employees. Like you said, I'd be curious about Konica or Ricoh which has a ton of techs.
