  1. Re: 3551ci - a print error has occurred, add paper to tray 1

Which is why the 2 series forward has the slow close drawers.

    P2235dw Network Reset

So, I have some machines at a bank & we all know how tight network security is at those places. The IT has the USB ports blocked. They are getting ready for a security audit, and went in to disable...
  3. Re: 3551ci - a print error has occurred, add paper to tray 1

That's funny, I've never noticed the Mississippi on the second line of your location. I thought you were in Long Beach, CA.
  4. Re: 3551ci - a print error has occurred, add paper to tray 1

At least one drawer has to be set to auto inch. If it's set to Letter, it won't print the fax.

    Closing ? It's only 3pm there !

I believe you can use Stunnel to encrypt it.
  6. Re: Does Kyocera make a program to quickly pull settings and transfer to new machine?

The setup tool will convert the 917 job accounting, address book and one touch keys. The other stuff is in there, but it doesn't work.
917 will only work directly from same series machines to same...

    Re: DF-7120 J6511

The rubber paddles are pretty easy to replace. Just pull the top of the finisher off and you can clip them in.
The shim I made seems to work fine. You can use foam pads that have 2 sided tape, that...

    Re: DF-7120 J6511

I agree with Nathicana. I would be surprised that the updates weren't already on a 3 series machine/finisher, unless it sat in a warehouse for a while.
You can also check the little gray rubber...

Yes, if memory is correct, the 0 series and possibly 1 series didn't have them loaded by default. The 2 and later do have them preloaded.

    Re: FK-1152 M2040dn

So, I warrantied the fuser and they didn't want it back, so I took it apart. The sliding pad was definitely "thermally expanded" as is stated in the bulletin, although that should have been fixed in...

Since this thread was never updated, I thought I'd give my fix for varying registration that I did today. We replaced the resist section which includes the clutch, which did not fix it. After that,...

    FK-1152 M2040dn

Curious to see if anyone else is having issues with these fusers making a loud popping noise ? I'm going to replace my 3rd one in this machine. They last about 5-6 months. The one I have on the shelf...

    [Misc] Re: Sanitize the data

It takes about 5 hours, let it go until it finishes. The address book will be gone, and depending on the model, most of the settings.

    Re: Scan error type: other

Just to be clear, my settings are not for Office365. We pay monthly for an email account hosted with Rackspace. This SMTP server is where I was able to use SSL/TLS on port 465.
    I tried different...

I don't really understand how it can be intermitent, but it is. As a side note, we have an account set up with Rackspace, for older machines that don't support encrypted email. I just figured out...

Re: P2040dw add paper to cassette

Thank you, I was able to find it with the bulletin number. Astea is a less than user friendly site. I'd also tried looking under the MFP version of that engine on the Service Navi. I just double...

  19. Re: Kyocera Ecosys M3540idn Op panel numbers slow to respond

Disconnect the network cable and see how it responds. All the instances I've seen of this, someone had created a loop on the network, so it was flooded with traffic.

Re: Kyocera 2552ci only prints on reboot

Pinging doesn't do much, other than make sure there is a DEVICE at that IP address. Are you sure it's yours and it's the only one at that IP ? On odd problems, run a continuous ping, then disconnect...

Besides the sim, check that the release lever is back in the lock position and not stuck in the open position. I've seen that happen before.

I would ping the mail server, then enter that IP address in the SMTP hostname field, to eliminate DNS as the possible issue. It's really the only item that could cause intermittent scan errors. And...
