    Kodak I3200 scanner

Hi if anyone has a service manual for a Kodak I3200 scanner to share, i would be most grateful.

I need to rebuild one, and need to know which shafts go where and what the test sheet kits are for.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi Polarbear,
Were you able to come up with a manual. I need a part number for the front transport roller drive shaft with bearings. I'm also curious about what you dealt with. On the one I'm working on, I found that one of the bearings on the shaft disintegrated. Have you seen that before? Wondering if it is a common failure.

Hi. These are solid workhorses and they just dont stop.

I got hold of a parts supplier/service agent eventually but they only sell service "kits" at a rate that will make your eyes water. And the labour involved to replace the shafts (silver with orange rollers?) Is a b$#ch.

Mine was noisy and finding the noise was difficult, so I opted to replace all wear items (at huge parts and labour expense).

Yeah, the shaft with the bad bearing drives the first set of orange rollers. What I'm finding mostly online are the consumer replaceable rollers and kits. Did they sell you the shaft or did you have to send the unit to them for the repair? Do you remember the company name?

I got shafts and such. But this was about 4 years ago and that supplier has since closed.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. Thanks for your responses though.

Hi. What is the condition of the shaft where the bearing runs? Is it chewed up?

If not I would consider sourcing the bearing from a bearing wholesaler. In fact I would consider replacing all of them as if one has gone bad the others are probably on their way too.

Yeah, that shaft is chewed up. I did find a source for the parts though. Scanstore in the US, which is where I am.
