The DE16 is not detecting paper. The tray does not lift and the 2 LUD sensors never change states.
The last tech has replaced all 9 sensors, DE16 PWB and the PCU PWB. The firmware has been updated, as well.
Any help would be appreciated.

seems desk unit is dead. this looks silly but is the connection with main unit is ok? (2 connectors). try to get 24v line in pin 12 and 5v on pin 10 on CN-A of Desk controller pwb. if no voltages its main unit .
Yes, I got the 12v, 5v and 3v. The last technician said it look like the harness went straight to PCU. I have not confirmed myself since I did not have much time to play with the machine last night. I will be downloading the schematic today.
which connector and pin giving 3v line ? there are 2 harness from desk 1 connect to DC PWB & other connects to PCU PWB. any trouble codes ? when you try sim 4-3 anything works ?
Mine only has 1 white connector, not 2. Pin 4, I believe was 3V, pin 10 was 5v and pin 12 was 12v. If it breaks into 2 harnesses in the machine, I am not sure. I am going back today, so I will check motors.
there should be 24 volts at pin 12 , that is coming from dc pwb cn8 pin 6. that supplies 24v to lcc and desk unit. if you have lcc disconnect to see if 24v comes back, if not replace dc pwb, since desk pwb has been replaced ? pin 4 is data signal. also disconnect desk and check 24v at cn8 to rule out bad motor or clutch in desk bringing down 24v.
I have replaced the black box at the rear of the trays on the frame that contains the paper size switches for this before. I just took one off shop machine and replaced as a ass'y.
Sorry for the slow response. My company dragged their feet to order a new desk unit, just to find out that they were not made anymore.
All voltages were correct. I replaced the size detect PWBs, no luck. I checked history and it turned out that the previous technician replaced with the wrong type of sensor. From bullertin MFP-TB-1025, he replaced with VHPGP1S73P+-18. I changed them out with the correct sensor, VHPGP1A73AR-1, it tested fine.
