    SHARP MX M283N Laser Fan Keeps Burning Out

    My customer keeps getting the L4-34 code. I have replaced the fan twice in a month now.
    Are there any other reasons for the fan to go. Should I look at a power supply or something.

    I would try a PCU board. Typically boards don't cause intermittent problems, unless the fan circuit overheats.

    When this code appears....

    Go to SIM 6-2 and activate LSUFM

    Does fan operate? If yes then the fan itself is good, it is signal to/from PCU causing issue.

    Manual indicates it is either fan or PCU board
