    MX-3570V Duplex misfeeds

I have a Sharp MX-3570V which misfeeds intermittently when duplexing jam code APPD2_S.When it jams it accordians between MFP duplex guide and Right door duplex guide past the second Duplex drive roller. Occasionally it crease the paper an inch and a half from lead edge, like too much Registration Loop. We have installed updated sensor springs, replaced sensors and guides with no resolution to the problem. Machine runs fine in 8.5 x 11 R direction and seems to run fine when outputting to Right Side Tray. Any ideas?

There is a technical report CCE-2003R2 out for what looks like your problem. It is for modification of ADU enter/exit paper actuator spring. It sounds like the actuator sticks causing jam and they have a new spring out to prevent that problem.PN of new spring is MSPRD4699FCZ1

I know this sounds wierd... but what is your firmware level? I've found in some rare cases that updating the firmware on these models fixes some duplex jamming issues.

Check and double check the ribbon cable from right side door to PCU......

You may want to try adjust for curl, see link below...compliments of mojorolla

Thank you, yes double checked firmware is up to date and reflashed it to be certain. Checked ribbon cables, and reseated them. Don't see any damage on the cables.

Does this machine have a right side exit tray? I saw the cable/connector for the reverse solenoid not properly routed causing the solenoid to not fully open.

    Re: MX-3570V Duplex misfeeds

Yes, it does have the Right Tray unit, which I haven't experienced any misfeeds when the paper outputs to that tray. I did remove it and installed the original blank guides, but misfeeding during duplex continues. Thank you for the tip, i will check the wiring harness for the solenoid to be sure it's routed correctly.
