Sharp mx-2640 light copies but prints ok

Hi anyone any ideas have a couple of mx2640 and they are producing light copies but prints are fine
both machines have had complete services optics laser every thing cleaned

Have you calibrated the machine (sim 46/74) ?

Have you gone into system settings, storing/calling of system settings and restored defaults? Also, have you locked in your SIT chart settings?

Which sims do you use when calibrating?

Make sure the optics are clean and keep calibrating until it looks good.

Did someone go into 46-2 and change the settings? Or in system settings and change default copy exposure?

clean the optics with alcohol and a soft white cloth. do not use any chemicals or colored rags. this should fix it.

Thanks for your reply,we are supplied with blue cloths and glass cleaner but ill try white and alchohol
