Sharp mX565 Smudging and toner dust
Has anyone experience toner dust on paper along with smudges.. I change the fuser twice so its not the fuser. The drum is clean and the developer is new. This copier only has 50,000 copies

Have you completely replaced the fusing unit or rebuilt it?
We had one smudging a few months back, a drum cleaning blade solved it.

Re: Sharp mX565 Smudging and toner dust
Thanks for responding, I replaced with three fuser. It appears on service note MFP-TB-1231R there is a new style Developer/ Magnetism Doctor Blade. The developer has a flaw that without that new Doctor blade toner will fall on the paper causing smudges.

Re: Sharp mX565 Smudging and toner dust
I have seen this issue twice on the orion series machines. one would think it is the fuser.....but no. What fixed it for us was replacing the dv unit. the new units have been modded to this issue and seem to be a permanent fix. the other thing i have seen cause this is when techs dont use yellow and steric acid powder on the drum and drum blade. I know it sounds weird but it is in a tech bulletin.
