MX-M904 Finisher Jams in the Saddle Fold entrance area.
Hello,
I have posted here before when asking about this machine model and have since installed it at the customers location. The main body is New out of the box but the finisher FN-22 is used. It works fine in all modes except saddle fold / stitch. The customer programs the job for 8.5 X 11.0 paper saddle fold and stitch. 6 sheets of paper. It prints about 2 to 4 successfully and then jams at the top of the saddle entrance area. about 3 or so sheets of paper are stuck in there when I clear the jam. So I cleaned all the rollers and tried again. I get about 6 to 8 sets no problem and then it jams again.
Could this be the foam rollers at the bottom? maybe a clutch or motor issue?
Any clues on this would be great! I am new to Sharp models and need some help from an experienced tech.
I do have another used finisher FN-22 to take parts from or swap out the entire saddle assembly. I don't really want to do that unless I can't figure out why its jamming.

What is the jam code? Sharp issued a bulletin about the saddle roller sensor causing false jams, and ultimately change the sensor and mounting plate that it mounts to. It is bulletin: MFP-TB-1149
Re: MX-M904 Finisher Jams in the Saddle Fold entrance area.
I forgot what the code was. I will have to look when I go back. Stupid me... lol..
the paper does actually jam. I will read the bulletin you posted but if it is actually jamming and I have to remove 3 sheets of paper it may not be a false jam. also, some times the paper does not jog properly and the stitch misses a sheet or two. so then it comes out with maybe two sheets skewed and the rest are jogged. I think its slipping somewhere. I will get the code.
Re: MX-M904 Finisher Jams in the Saddle Fold entrance area.
Sorry, this may sound stupid. I cant find the jam code for the saddle stitch folder jams. Where does it list the jams?
They don't use the machine everyday for saddle. so I just now got a chance to go see them again.
I am a noob on these Sharp machines and I know it sounds funny but I cant find the jam list. It does not display a jam code when it jams. Also it is not a ghost jam. It actually has 3 sheets of paper jammed in the top of the saddle stitch transport.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you and sorry for my lack of knowledge on this machine.
