    MX-3050 with a strange noise

Get a noise when I operate t.c. 6-1 with cpfm active. With that still active i add cpfc1 and noise is still there. If I deactivate cpfc1 and activate cpfc2 the noise goes away. My question is where is cpfc2 located, because the manual doesn't show it. Has anyone had noises with the cpfm on the cassette drive unit. This noise is not real loud. Thanks Ron

We had this happen and wound up taking the desk unit drive assembly out and putting it back in. Never found out what the cause was but haven't had any issues since then.

    Good luck.
