Sharp 402SC Print issue-HELP!

Good morning...

I've got a strange one here gang. A Sharp 402 that I fixed an L4-06 error on (Replaced rear ITB Sensor), but now it looks like my images have all shifted to the rear by about 3/4" of an inch... leaving a very wide black band, almost like a sky shot along the front edge of the page. The attached photo is of 2 internal prints. I even attempted to do a Sim 50-28 to try and get the image to recenter itself, but it just errored out.

Willing to take any and all suggestions, including destruction of the machine.... Thanks!!

I thought so too, but it's a new drum... and rebuilt transfer belt unit. It's in a very dusty warehouse environment, which is why I had to replace the transfer belt sensor. It was throwing an L4-06 error at first. Now that the error is cleared, this is my issue.

I also tried making a copy off the platen, and that image was shifted to the rear of the machine as well... so it's not just prints.

Wow, interesting issue. I am assuming being it is dusty you cleaned all boards, etc. I want to say laser unit issue because of the reversing but maybe try another drum/developing unit and transfer belt. I also am assuming it is a B series as I do not see any color.

I would try another transfer belt it doesn't look like the cleaning blade is doing its job.

can you wipe off the toner on the page? if so check fuser, is the toner is fused then thats a weird ass issue.

Are the lighter streaks just before the black streak developer?

It looks like there may be a short between the drum and main charger.

It is pulling developer from the developer unit and the black streak is toner on the drum in the area of the short.

Sorry for the late update. Wound up replacing the transfer belt again, and the drum unit and waste toner box. Everything cleared up after that.

Waste toner box had been damaged, and wasn't allowing the cleaning blade to auger toner into the box. I think that led to a lot of the machine's issues.

I have a weird issue as well! B402SC spits out random blank pages during print jobs. I have replaced the TUD_K sensor and the transfer belt. Has a new drum. Seems to run better after it has been off awhile, but then the "blanks" become more frequent throughout the day. Sometimes it will print 50 pages fine then throw a blank and others it will throw a blank every 2nd or 3rd page. I have found no pattern to it other than it increases the more it is used. ANY IDEAS???
