Firmware general question.

Say if we got a used machine from a wholesaler and the firmware is two updates old,do i need to update both firmwares? Or can I just install the latest one and that will take care of all updates? Thanks

Usually, you can just jump to the latest version with no problem. There are some special cases though. Read the documentation that comes with the firmware to know for sure.

Just install the latest and all should be updated.
