Sharp MX-C311 Image Send Network Error CE-00

I put a pre-2011 Sharp MX-C311 back into service recently. I am attempting to set up Image Send to an Office 365 E-mail.

After inputting DNS and SMTP Settings the connection to SMTP server test succeeded. I also changed SSL Level of Encryption to "Middle" to emulate TLS.

After running a test document I get "Network error. (CE-00) Consult your network administrator."

I went into the the router and have tried both DHCP and Reserved IP and the result is the same (CE-00).

Thoughts? Or is the machine just to old to have these capabilities with the current technology?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am almost certain the MX-C311 does not support TLS 1.2 or higher. I know Sharp put out a firmware update for that on the MX-C312 model, in order for it to support TLS 1.2, but not one for the MX-C311 model. Same machine really just different firmware.

There is firmware for this machine that supports TLS1.2

Thank you, I greatly appreciate the all the information. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the Sharp Service Website but it is good to know that there is a firmware upgrade out there.
