    Hi everyone,

    I have a trouble with Sharp MX-1810U.

    My countermeasure as below:

    - Replace PTC --> Can't fix issue
    - Replace PCU PWB --> Can't fix issue
    - Replace MFP PWB --> Can't fix issue
    - Replace SCU PWP --> Can't fix issue
    - High Voltage PWB --> Can't fix issue

    I don't know how to do now.

    P.S:

    I had this problem before. You need to replace the transfer switching clutches in the back of the machine. If you take off the toner waste bottle and run a black copy and watch the black cam on front of the transfer unit and then run a color you will see that cam move as the clutch slipps and then you get the code. you have to remove the whole drive assy that goes across the back of the machine to replace the clutches. Its not very hard to get off.

    To check that it is the clutch
    Make 15 B/W copies or prints and see it you get the code
    If you do it’s not the clutch
    It could dirty PTC or high voltage board

    has anyone checked the power going into the mfp? if voltage drops below 110 at any point or ground to neutral is more that 2v that could cause it. also make sure firmware has been updated. there is a bulletin to replace the plastic holder for the tc and hl pwb boards to allow more space between those boards to prevent arching but i have only ever done it one time...and it didnt resolve the issue. you could also try replacing the tc pwb RDENU0133FCPZ but personally Id go with power to the machine being the root cause. put a power monitor on it and see if you come up with anything.
