Chiming in on this issue here too. I’m at a small service company, but we have 3 in this series having the exact same issue & been given the same “we’ve never seen this issue before” line from Sharp support. We’re actually going to bite the bullet and see if it is a toner issue after all and switch a customer over to OEM because the machine is nearly band new, so I might have some anecdotal evidence on this issue in the near future.

    Hi.

I'm not sure I've seen this issue, and not sure if this will help. But try this if you can.

On the Fusing unit, under it where the paper enters. There's a guiding metal plate than can be loosened by 2 screws. Making the gap abit larger for the paper to go through into the fusing unit. Make it larger and then fix the screws again.

    We will try this,

But I don't see how that could prevent paper sticking to the pressure roller on the second pass

I agree. I do however seen paper jam only caused during duplex with very weird results. This is one that helped.

And what previous users have said. The fusing units on these models could be better.

If you can, maybe switch out a fusing unit from a working machine just to rule it out.

Need to ask also. What kind of prints is it that gets jammed?

Is it fully covered papers all the way to the edges?

    And

By Wrap. do you mean a sudden stop or that the paper gets stuck on the roller and wraps AROUND the roller?

If it's the latter. We've had issues on some that we had to install a Cleaner Roller and a Seperation Unit cause of very covered prints causing the fuser to becoming sticky.

    Parts:
    ⦁ CFRM-1766DS53 (Lower Separate Unit)
    ⦁ DUNT-9555DSZZ (Cl roller Unit)

    Adding technical reports.

The print wraps around the pressure roller on the second pass.

The it is usually a duplex flyer of some sort with heavy print. Not always full page. But will usually have some sort of heavy fill area on the page.

I think it is due to no cleaning web (or roller) and no stripper pawls on the lower roller.

It has nothing to do with the lead edge or the trailing edge. Once it starts wrapping, even cleaning pages will wrap (the lead and traing edges on those several inches)

Then I would check in with Sharp Tech Support there in US to see if possible to get a hold of a Cleaning kit. But I believe the damage has already been done on the pressure roller once it's started wrapping the paper.

My parts guy says he cant find CFRM-1766DS53

Also are there any other parts associated with the cl roller unit (ie. Motor, bearings, etc.)?
