scan thru ADF cutting off top portion of page

We have a MX-3071 that when scanning cuts off the top 1/4 inch portion of the page. The problem is they are trying to print a death certificate which has the text starting at the very top of the page and when scanning thru the adf it cuts that part off. Putting it on the glass and moving it down doesn't work since they are using a special sized paper to fit their record books. We finally got them to upgrade from their old Panasonic and of course it never did this.

With the old 50-28 auto-centering adjustment no longer available, check the values of 50-01, 50-06 and 50-12 to correct page centering through the ADF.
Make sure the firmware is up to date.
Check the Copy Settings > Initial Status Settings for ratio settings, and also Device Control > Original Size Settings & Original Feed Mode settings considering they're using a custom size original.

I would also check 50-27 and make sure scan setting = fax settings (even if machine does not have a fax)
