Sharp mx 3070 /doc feed issue
Hi
FIRST TIME Ive worked on this model so Im as usual far from an expert,
On the glass everything is fine, I couldnt find much info on the MX 3070 MODEL
When using the Document feeded 8.5 X 11R and 8.5 X 14 Detect ok in the ADF tray
When using the 8.5 X 11 and 11X 17 they ARE NOT registering correctly(just says either 14 inch or 11 inch Reduction way)
I suspect it has something to do with the Width detection PWB
I purchased 2 manuals onlineyesterday in order to get the part number and am having a very difficult time
finding correct part,I even tried to get the tray unit part number and that was very challengeing. The Part numbers i came up swith
come back with no search results
These were the ones I found thru searching for qwuite a while.
Width sensor PWB(CPWBF1594FCE1 +CPWBF2193FCE1)
AND for tray unit
CSOU-0235DS56
PLEASE HELP IF YOU ARE ABLE TO
THANK YOU
ANDY

Re: Sharp mx 3070 /doc feed issue
Have you tried sim 53-7 to set the sensitivity of the width sensor?
See page 6-93 in the service manual.

Re: Sharp mx 3070 /doc feed issue
Remove back adf cover and make sure there isn't a paper clip on adf pwb. They find their way inside cover and cause " wierd " issues!

Re: Sharp mx 3070 /doc feed issue
Hey spanky and Dcopyman And everyone who replied
Thank you for the help
TEAMWORK paid off
I removed the back panel to adf and almost missed it but THERE WAS a paper clip on the ADF board.I was happy to see it, But after I removed it
the problem was still there, So I used Sim 53-7 and saw that the numbers were a lot different than default values in service manual.I reset them and
after that everything worked find,I assume the paper clip caused values to change
THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE
