You dont need to do anything special on that model. Just install it, the machine formats it automatically. The issue your describing sounds like a loose connection, try reseating mfp pwb .

I got some news... i just bought a second mx2600n to use it parts. So i've changed the mainboard with the HDD from the "new" mx2600. But i got U2-30 error. So i changed the HDD from the "new" to the old mx2600 and now i got U2-05 error. There''s a way to solve it ?

you can't just swap boards around.. there are certain steps you need to follow.

Well i got the MX2600n to work after cloning the hdd from the "new" machine, and run the SIM16. Think the display issue was caused by a larger capacity hdd .. idk... anyway, after i cloned the 80gb hdd to the new 120gb hdd i could see the normal display for the 1st time. Now it's time to work on the other error ... Thank you all

The eeprom chip from the original board needs to be moved to the newly installed board. These are the old style "eight legged freak" chips sitting in the board. Just be gentle as these chip are are not forgiving and you have about 2-3 bends before the legs snap off. Also, note the orientation as one side will have a small cut out and if not careful you can install backwards.
I have a ground down flat head screwdriver specifically for these chip removals.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!
