Sharp MX-3100N
Hi! i'm having issues whith a sharp mx-3100N. it dogears the sheets when we send any print job. also the sheet trays have something wrong as the suddenly stopped detecting that they were loaded; and prompted me to "push the tray until it latches" this is a basic machine with only two trays and a fax module without any other add ons.
if you need pictures i'd gladly send them tomorrow when i get back to my job
( we use it on a stationery shop in a little town in mexico and any big city is a 6 hour drive away

Re: Sharp MX-3100N
For the paper tray I would check the sensors. If you have another feed assembly just swap it out. Dog ears can be almost anything. Check the paper path for burrs or obstructions.
Good luck

Re: Sharp MX-3100N
I switched the sensors around and now it sometimes detects them properly and sometimes not so i guess this is an improvement. ill try to take some pics of the fuser, that is where the sheets always jam

Re: Sharp MX-3100N
Are the fuser rollers in good shape? No toner build up and not past pm cycle. The pick guides will need more spring pressure, either replace the springs with new ones or take the current ones and shorten them a loop.

Do you hear something like thumping noise from fuser? If yes then replace upper heat roller.
