The OP already had the belt removed. That is one screw to remove. Would have taken an additional 5 seconds to clean the sensors. I don't see the problem here. I have had customers clean those before.
This is also a particularly smart/persistent end-user. Demonstrated by his willingness to replace the SD card, do emergency stops, run unnecessary sim codes, etc. When you're blessed with a smart enduser, don't waste their patience by making them run in circles.
I think my point that this thread is unnecessarily hostile, stands. I know I haven't helped much in that regard. Still, I did read the entire thread before posting, and I've provided valuable advice that had some archival merit, before it got buried by this comical circle-jerk. You're patting yourselves on the back but ignoring the fact you failed to solve the problem.
Phil B: a great percentage of your posts are rude and abusive with zero provocation. I figured you had thick enough skin to handle being called a noob. Not sure what a red card is but three of them seems excessive.
Congrats, you know how do clean some sensors. Wouldn't have helped this particular problem, but I get it, you know how to clean some sensors. I don't know why you're so busy patting yourself on the back when your "advice" would have done NOTHING to fix the problem. I'm confused.....
The actual fix was to replace the MFP board. Nothing to do with cleaning any sensors.
well noob.. I can only throw one a day.
grow the fuck up.. or are your brains frozen like the other libs from your cuntry?
31yrs in the industry.. you are a puppy back under the porch.
FYI a red card is a BAD mark .. And I misspoke earlier I stated 129posts 0 rep points.. you only have 30 posts and already 3 reds. GOOD JOB! I see you are helping people left n right.
most users start with one green card.. just for posting in Newbies forum.
you earn green cards when people like/thank you comments enough ( not sure how many it takes ) But you are going in the wrong direction.
so long noob
We still don't know 100% what the solution was, unless you think the tech actually replaced the LSU. Most likely 5 minutes of cleaning and calibrating like I said. OP was thankful he didn't have to dump a bunch of money into parts, after all, and a new laser unit is like 500 bucks.
BTW I did have about 15 rep before this thread.. you all must have down-repped me multiple times.. very mature, thank you.
Let me explain my problem with you. I have great respect for the techs on this site. They've helped me every time I asked for help. They didn't have to help me or anyone else. They did it out of the kindness of their heart. Don't be calling these techs a bunch of noobs. How dare you.
