MX5070N CQ issues when copying in color

Have an MX5070N that is not reproducing black text properly when in color mode fron the platen and through the document feeder. Single sided is worse than 2sided but they are both poor. Unit has a DSK.

    So far we have replaced:

    MFPC PWB Unit
    CCD
    Lamp and lamp PWB

    Updated ROMs
Performed numerous 63-2, 63-5 adjustments. Also tried to adjust in sim 46 to no affect. This also affects scan quality. The only way to get a decent copy is by placing unit in TEXT/PHOTO mode. All other modes and the copies are washed out. Here are a couple of scanned images for you. 1 monochrome which is okay and one color where you will see the black text is missing. Sharp has our next option of using a SIT chart but that is something that we do not have in stock and my boss is leery of spending the money for one without so backup information.

Thank you for your time and effort in this matter. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Having issues uploading images. I will keep trying

    Where are those attachments? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Sorry, forgot to mention internal prints are perfect. No issues with the print engine itself. Replaced black DV and drum just to try covering all of our bases but didn't think that had anything to do with the problem. No affect after replacement.

I'm not sure what the problem is. Tried several different browsers on 2 computers and it still will not upload the pdf. Tried changing the name still no joy.

Talked to Sharp again yesterday and they want us to do the SIT chart. Price has come down quite a bit from what it was a few years ago, only $85 now LOL

Didn't run a sky shot, will have to try it to see what the difference is between mono and color.

Because internal prints look fine, I'm also assuming print jobs are fine.

Also you see improvement when changing exposure type.

I'm not a betting man, but if I were I would put money on the horse named SIT Chart

I think you are on track..... good luck

    Run LSU power adjustments...SIM 61 I think....
Could also try Black Letter/Line Width Adj under system settings > image quality adj.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

Are your attachments more that 1MB? I had to reduce the resolution of my phone camera to get a small enough attachment size. =^..^=
