Hi guys. This one is for any one who does Sharp. Can you shed any ideas with this issue.
Sharp Mx 2640. Customer called saying poor cq. The leading edge looks ok (about an inch in) looks like magenta and yellow are ok. Also when I got there I had e7 93 which is image process trouble. The mc would not print a test page either so I reformatted hdd and that sorted the e7 93 and test page not printing issue. I did a panic stop and the image was not great on the primary so rules out fuser and secondary transfer. Any ideas? Will get image uploaded

It has been refurbished 2 months ago with new devs and drums. All consumables are way under life.

Here are some samples, as you can see it looks like black and cyan are poor, although its good for the first part of the page, this issue suddenly occurred, it looks like bad c and k developer but this issue on both colours happened at the same time.

Are these prints or copies?

Do an internal print using 64-01 A=9
and one using 64-5 A=1

what does the color on these look like?


If these are copies, try taking the machine out of manual exposure.....any difference?

Have you run a calibration step by step yet?

Check the secondary transfer belt unit. I have had a piece break and the transfer roller under the belt was out of place. It causes all kinds of weird quality issues.

Were the drums OEM? Seems you have issue with the black the most. OEM toners? Were all the proper calibrations followed? Did you check your primary belt to make sure black roller is working properly? also as mentioned as well, how is the secondary trans belt looking? I have gone as far as pulling out the laser unit to make sure all the glass is clean as well in instances like this, just to make sure no developer, toner or dust is blocking the glass just to eliminate it being a cause, it just takes an extra 15 min.

Hi Guys, I have sorted this, it was the ptc, it was attached at either end but nothing in the middle, not sure if the customer has messed, although I had no charge related code, I did get e7 93 which may have been caused by the arc. I will upload some samples printed from 64-01
