    MX-3060V - Color copy lines

    Hello there !

I'm having some problems with an MX-3060V, customer called because of lines on the copy's.
I personally just thought the glass needs some cleaning, but then I saw these lines.

They only occure on Color copy's, b/w everything is fine, I've never had this problem.
Perhaps someone here got some suggestions ?

I hope you can see enough in those pictures:

    - 22-06

    Thanks in advance !

What have you done to try to correct the lines? What is the life on the drum kits? Have you performed a calibration?

Sorry guys I forgot to mention it only happens when using the scanner (copy/scan), I just used two examples for copy to show here. (64-01 and 22-06)
But I've already replaced the CCD and it fixed it.

    Thanks anyways !

Does that model have a DSPF or RSPF? If DSPF, what would a 2 sided copy thru it look like?

    3050 & 3060 (same for 51/61) generally come with just a RSPF.
But theoretically one side should be fine with a DSPF.

Do a full optics clean; both sides of the glass, scanner mirrors, & lens. If it still occurs you could be looking at faulty SCU; or ribbon cables are loose.

    Only in copies? Strange.

Looks like... a smudge in the mirrors, or could be that CCD unit.

More importantly, what does your scans look like? When you scan as a PDF, what does the document look like on the PC? If there are no image quality problems on the scanned document, then you're looking at a print engine problem.

Thanks guys, but its already fixed.
It was indeed the CCD unit.

Is there a way to mark the thread as solved ?
