    MX2630+ Network/ Connectivity Issues

    Hi,

    I'm having problems at a small site quite a distance away.

    The print queue is getting jammed more and more regularly.

    A 67-17 clears the queue and away we go, but it is happening multiple times a day.

    They are using a combination of windows 10, windows 7 and iphone to print. Everyone is setup as user in windows so its not helping point to a single PC.

    The firmware is up to date and the network cable has been changed.

    Is there any hardware I should be looking at or does this sound like a purely computer issue?

    Firstly, ask the user to make a note of when it happens. What time of day and what Job appears to cause the queue problem. Be very specific.
    Download the Job Log file and filter out the jobs which happen at that time, and by that computer and document name. Check for error codes in the error column. This may help point to a cause.
    From this information, you will also be able to obtain the user documents which are causing the queue problem, and test these printed from your own laptop with crossover cable directly to the printer. See if the problem is a document issue or prints OK from your laptop. This rules out the printer.
    Find out what print drivers and versions are currently installed. It's a fair bet with such a mix of OS involved that some don't have the correct or current print drivers too.

    Thanks Prints Charming,

    Unfortunately five of the six users are logging into there PC from home at any given time all the computers are called local PC and the windows user name is user on all computers. The job log isn't showing any errored jobs.

    As to finding out the time of day I'm told it doesn't work all day everyday. So this particular customer isn't being very helpful
