    If you can't get that flat cable back in without it bending, you can put a little bit of superglue on the backside of the bent connectors to adhere it to the cable. That has got me out of a few pinches when I would work on the old HP designjets and their trailing cables.

    Ahhhhhh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I did examine it and it was right on the corner so it was very difficult to notice. so after I exhausted all of my resources, I microscoped the cable and found that. But thank you Mr. Helper. LOL

    On some of the lower end HP desktops (LJ3035 especially) I would cut a little off the end of the cable. This saved me many times

    Well, for sure not a helper in this case. Just observer. Good luck troubleshooting next one.
