MXM7570 / (2 prints, one page doc, stapled)

I have a prospect that would like an MXM7570, LCT, and stacking finisher.

The customer would like to do the following:

• One page document, two prints stapled.
• 2,000 prints per day, 6 days a week
• All 8.5x11 plain paper.

MXM7570, as configured, would provide 3.3 days of paper @ 2000 per day, this is the BIGGEST selling feature. As currently their biggest obstacle is users constantly adding paper.

The only way I can get the machine to staple two copies of a one-page doc is to use “Carbon Copy”.

The problem is when selecting Carbon Copy you must select a tray for Copy 1 and a different tray for Copy 2. So best-case scenario for Carbon Copy is Copy 1 to the LCT and Copy 2 from Tandem tray 1 (1250 sheets)

This will change the “Load Paper” cycle from 3.3 days to 1.25 days, which I’m afraid is a deal killer.

Is there any way to bypass the carbon copy requirement of different trays and just use Auto Select?

Any method of stapling 2 prints of a single-page print job, while using ALL AVAILABLE paper would get the deal.

Can they make two copies of the same page and run it that way? If running from the computer just have them copy and paste first page onto page 2.

These prints are being generated by an automated ordering system.

Just curious, what are using now?

They are not stapling now. Just printing 2 sheets, but loss of one is an issue they are hoping to avoid by stapling.

Ultimately, they should change the form on their backend software. But I suspect their backend is a cloud-based ERP.

Not sure what a "form change" cost is but thinking customer is trying to avoid the cost of form change.

Try to set the output to uncollate and to staple.

I tried this with a one page PDF and told it to make 2 copies and staple.

It did staple the two pages together.
