    MX-M7570 touch panel adjustment.

Hello, I have a 7570 touch screen that keeps going out of adjustment. The customer is pretty far away so I swapped the entire panel and it seems to have fixed it. If anyone else has had panel issues like this, what fixed it for you? Maybe not the panel but a board issue? Just looking for ideas. Thanks

We tried the panel LVDS and thorough cleanings but it the end you have to order the panel. I would avoid Hytech rebuilds as I doubt they are testing long enough to know if it wanders out of adjustment.

I have had this happen on 2 7570s and the fix both times was to replace the panel assembly. Also get a lot of u9 codes with this series. I just reseat the connectors for those be careful of the connector, easy to break

      Good luck

Thanks for the replies. I will see if the customers panel goes out of alignment on our machine.

All 3 of the M7570 that we have out have had touchscreen calibration and Failure issues. We had replaced touch screens and the connector board it plugs to and problem kept coming back. Finally we realized that the ribbon cable from the actual touch screen was very loose where it plugs to the machine, so we added a shim (cut out a piece of an old transparency) and slid it into the ribbon cable connection. Tightened it up like I expect a ribbon cable connection should be and we have not had any more issues.

We've seen this a couple times. We replaced several components on the first one with no change. Turned out to be a loose ribbon cable connection under the ops panel. Even a new cable was loose. We trimmed down a thin mylar strip and wedge it in to tighten the connection. It worked after that. The next M7570 that had the same problem, we went straight to the small ribbon cable and added the mylar to tighten. It worked too. That was six months ago.

Just to be sure, this is the small ribbon cable that is only about a quarter inch or so wide? It is the only ribbon cable I see and is directly connected to the touch screen
