BP-50C31 - Slow printing photos

Bare with me, I am just getting back into the networking game. Customer states that their photos take 40 to 50 seconds between pages. They set the photos as 2 4"x6" photos per page. They say their last copier was much faster at printing photos. Any suggestions?

Their old printer was a Sharp, but not sure what model, she said she had least it for 4 years. They are printing wirelessly, but I did hard wire it and did not make a noticeable difference. There PCs are hard wired.

I have reloaded 1 driver and really did not find anything concrete online or while I was looking at drivers and machine settings.

From other posts I've seen this may be an app problem. When this happens to me first thing I do is install latest and greatest driver (which I see you did) then change the advanced driver setting from vector to raster. Have had some success doing this.

Hey,

try to set the network speed manually to 1000Mbit/s. We had problems with that. Maybe you can active IPv6 ( helped a lot with AirPrint / MacOS maybe also for Windows )

Also make sure it's set to use IP instead of WSD/Airprint, that will slow it down greatly.

Go to the print driver and try the following:


Find the correctly installed Sharp Print Driver -> Printer Properties -> Sharing -> Check "Render Print Jobs on Client Computers".

See how that goes.

Thanks for the info, I will give it a shot when I get a chance today or tomorrow. The print drivers are set to IP.

Sorry for the delay. I have tried the above suggestions and they did not work. I have since turned it over to my manager and have not heard back.

If that horrible microsoft photos program is being used, that is the problem. Seen it several times.

Agree, this is a known issue with Windows Photo Viewer. Open and print the pics in a different software OR put them on a USB and print from USB at the machine.
If USB works normally, its a software / driver issue.
