A question that was asked is are there any companies out there who could provide an OSA app that would allow you to purchase "copy credits" on a card and manage them?
    Any input is appreciated.

We have had good luck with Jamex. Simple machines, easy to setup and maintain.

I just set up and MX-c402sc with an ACDI coin op and it was a piece of cake. No special software, just the vend kit from Sharp and an adapter from ACDI. Plug and pay. We use them in a library account we recently acquired.

    Re: Coin op machiens

Try to take into account that coinop machines take a beating. We had a grocery store chain account with Canon NP2120's. I'll readily admit that these copiers were jammomatics, but they didn't deserve having the op panel punched through every visit. Somebody discovered that you can punch through the outer skin of the op panel with a ball point pen, and perforated the panels almost daily. The customer wanted an unlimited supply of operation panels included in their contract. At some point we had to refuse, they wouldn't pay, and the machines just looked worse and worse.

It probably didn't help that the machines were placed in an entryway with automatic doors on each end, so that in the winter the temperature varied from 35F to 60F, and in the summer 75F to 90F. It was normal to be standing in 3" of snow or getting drizzled on while servicing the machine. And the machine got a steady bashing with grocery carts.

Also, a creative set of endusers managed to drop coins in every crevice on the machine. The coins in the op panel shorted out what was left of the PCB. The coins in the manual feed scratched the drum. I'd recover $5 or more of coins jammed in the body of the machine each visit. It never came close to covering the cost of the op panels.

When you're figuring your contract pricing don't forget that the endusers will give the machine a good beating. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
