    MX-5111N on IPX network

I am looking for any information on getting network printing functionality on a Novell 3.12 network running IPX protocol. I need to print to an MX-5111N, an MX-C402SC and a couple MX-B402SC's. Could I use a generic driver on the novell print server such as an HPlaserjet?

NetWare 3.12? Seriously? That's literally 20+ years old. (I learned on 3.11 in 1995, and it was getting old then.)

Nobody supports a network OS that old anymore. Even support for 4.x is just about if not completely gone.

BTW...No part of the driver gets "installed" into NetWare 3.x, like it can in the newer versions. You only configure the print queue(s).

I am hoping to use a generic driver and set up pretty much the same way as Sharp recommends for printing to an AS400 system. Does any one have any experience with this type of setup?
