MX4100 hdd replacement

I need to pick up our rental MX4100 and turn in the hdd to the customer which is fine. But I've never changed an hdd on these before and I guess I need to be assured of the procedure when I bring this machine back to the shop. I have another hdd from a parts machine, can i just plug and go, or do I have to run that EmergencyUpdateMode as SM states, or something else.

Any suggestions on replacing the hdd would help, thanks!
