I don't know about other manufacturers but with Ricoh wide format copier questions can be found in the regular Ricoh technical forum. Most Ricoh dealer tech work on wide format as well as regular MFP.

    Re: Large Format Forum

Canon and HP wide formats can be found in their respective forums. Kip will be found under "Other". =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Re: Large Format Forum

Looking for opinions, would a dedicated "wide format" sub-forum be a better way to go than the current setup?

It would just be one more forum I would need to follow to see if I can be of help. But then again I am retired and have the time.

    Re: Large Format Forum

I do most of my searching from Google:
    site:Copytechnet Home keywords

So it doesn't really matter what forum it's in ... Google generally finds my keywords.
    Just my opinion. =^..^=

Probably, they're such a unique animal but much more close to our wheelhouse than cash registers, etc.

I think it would fit nice into the 'Fax & Printer....& Wide Format" forum.

The forum seems to be adequate as is, but Wide Format & Inkjet might be appropriate.

But then again, I feel that such a section would get far less exposure than the old Cannon/HP/etc sections. Not much of an answer I'm afraid

    Re: Large Format Forum

I think that a separate forum is a good idea... maybe sub categories InkJet - Laser. as time grows (and Interest) maybe split into brands between the two sub categories to make it eaiser.

Canon has the inkjet and Oce' (sub company) does laser

    Epson only inkjet

    Ricoh I believe covers both

    just my 2 cents
