    Search Function Broken?

The search functionality in the forums seems to be broken. When attempting to search (in the Konica group at least), the results are just a bunch of random threads that have nothing to do with the search term entered into the search box. The results also don't look like they used to. There seems to be an error in the code used in the search function resulting in extraneous data being included in the search terms (keyword) that then provides garbage results. In the example below, the search term was "blinking", yet part of the code is showing up as an additional search term ("forum:40"). See attached image.

    Re: Search Function Broken?

In the interim you can use Google, phrased like this:
    site:www.coptechnet.com konica minolta C2557

    (for example). Works great. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

What I have noticed is that that layout has changed. No longer seeing the option at the top to select the forum to search and no longer to select a specific post within a thread.

You need to read the Forum Rules.

General Rule 1. Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed.

I doubt "it" will, I think selena_homes is a bot.

I have a feeling that part of the problem is that according to the software information at the bottom of page the site is using vBulletin version 4.2.5 which is m=not fully compatible with PHP 7.2.0 or higher. The latest stable release is vBulletin version 5.7.1 as of August this year. version 5.7.2 is currently being tested.

I've had this same issue for some time now. Makes this forum almost worthless trying to see if there is an answer out there. And, there is no real answer to this issue apparently.
