There's just a little bit more to it than swapping the HDD. If I were you (and I sure hope I'm not), I would read the section on replacing the HDD. You'll need firmware to complete the process.
Come back when you've read the manual. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Blackcat is a rude dude. You dont have to be trained to be a great tech. I am a Toshiba Dealer and I have not been Trained to know everything Toshiba. Load firmware via usb power machine on with usb firware in then holding 49 down . dont select scanner upgrade. Format hard drive by holding 4 clear then select format hard drive before loading firmware. Techs who need training should go home LOL. Experience is your best teacher and blackcat should be teaching instead of preaching. I have corrected Blackcat at every turn . He said a 230 is obsolete and no available parts such a joke. His training has made him lazy and ignorate.

Blackcat. I like your cat though. Seriously if you depend on a manual to much it weakens your ability to resolve issues that are not in the manual especially mechanics. I was trained by Xerox Corporation over a 10 year period in strict time testing facility in Leesburg Virginia. They covered so
much crap you never use in the field or even need to know. I have not been trained on a single product since I started my own company in 1995. I have and can work on any copier made with a service manual as a reference tool only. One thing about the Xerox and seeing they invented all the processes, it has given me the mental tools to repair any product. Have good day and may the bird of paradise land on your shoulder and peck your ear off. Just kidding Need help? I am the man to call.
1) At least BC can spell
2) you haven't met RUDE until you crossed MY PATH!
3) as far as correcting BC at every turn... that's WHY he has more LIKES/THANKS and Rep power than you do
4) BC has a lot of GREEN Flags..and you? OH YEAH RED FLAGS....
time for the puppies to get under the damn porch!
