well i just got in a 257 from rsi and it lasted 2 minutes and the hard drive failed i did 08-9072 sector check and it failed does anyone have a parts machine so you can sell me a hard drive with the firmware on it and if you do will it go right in or do i have to do something loke back up and restore the key i was supossed to deliver it monday now im screwed please help brothers
hey its me again just had a thought (rare) but i have a 256 hard drive if i put that in and use the assist mode to initialize it then put the 257 firmware on will it work and yes I will need someone to send me the 257 firmware

It should work per the compatibility shown on the service manual cover:
Toshiba e-STUDIO 206L 256, se 306 , s se sd 356, s se sd 456, s se sd 506, se+207L
Toshiba e-STUDIO 257s 307s sd 357s sd 457s sd 507
You do still have to format and re-load firmware.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
