Call for service CA20 in Toshiba E-studio 2809A/2006 Series

    Hi friends!

I have been facing this problem in lots of machines regarding this. When this service call occurred i did everything like cleaning the laser optic unit, cleaning the flat cable of laser unit, cleaning the mirrors of the laser unit.

If anyone have some ideas please let me know. Thanks in advance!

No once call for service notification occurred on display you can't do anything like print/Scan/copy. It usually occurs after warming up

Its been a while since I have worked on toshibas but i think this code may be related to the charge coronas. On older models the corona block would break and the saw tooth charge grid would be loose in the corona. If that is the problem usually when you pull out the drum unit the one with the problem the drum will be solid with toner.

From my Toshy days I remember CA10 and CA20 were Laser unit related, but I worked on older models and now they can be changed.

Yes laser related. I have changed only two lasers ever on Toshibas. One on a eS2515AC. No image quality issues. Just once a week it wouldn't awaken from sleep mode in the morning. The laser solved it. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
