Just following up on this, but it ended up being bad pins on the modular connector on the fuser.. hard to tell at first glance until I looked closely at all the pins, and some of them were bent/smashed. Ordered a new connector and that did the trick!

maybe it's just the wrong fuser that somebody else installed? All the Loire, LoireX, and Loire2X fusers look similar, but there are differences electrically.

All my resources are organized by jam code. Without a jam code I have to rely on my diminishing memory.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

OC, thanks for the feedback and next time be less grumpy, dude

Didn't think I was being grumpy, and here's the proof:

    Damaged modular fuser connector
I guess this is possible, but in all these hundreds of frames, have you ever seen one damaged/not making connection? I haven't, that's why I ask...

Look guys, I wasn't trying to bypass the connector as being the issue, only wanted to know your experience with that issue? It took me over a month to go back to the machine (one man show, you know?) so things could have been dropped in the interim. I'm human, as are you. I could have just as well not posted what I did to fix the problem, especially if it was going to result in snarky, useless comments that help no one.
